Elaine Equi

Elaine Equi is the author of Ripple Effect: New and Selected Poems as well as numerous other collections of poetry including Cloud of Knowable Things, Surface Tension, Decoy, and Voice-Over, which won the San Francisco State Poetry Award. Her work is widely anthologized and appears in Postmodern American Poetry: A Norton Anthology and in Best American Poetry (1989, 1995, 2002, and 2005). In addition to NYU, she teaches in theNew School’s M.F.A. Program in Creative Writing and in the graduateprogram at City College.
